Change of Ownership

Firstly, congratulations on the purchase of your new horse.

It is a requirement under the Horse Passport (England) Regulations to register a change of ownership with the relevant Passport Issuing Organisation (PIO) within 30 days of acquiring your horse.

Please download the form below and complete all the sections signing the form as necessary,, including the previous owner. If the previous owner section is not completed then “proof of purchase” will be required.

Send the completed form together with a cheque in the sum of £15.00 if you are TBF member or £30.00 if you are not a member with the passport to the Registrar. Alternatively you can pay online using either of the links below.

All details of the new owner will be added to the passport, it will be stamped and signed by the Registrar.

The passport is then sent to the owner / breeder by Recorded Delivery with a letter asking the owner to notify that it is received safely.
